NMX Digital Service Manager™

Harmonic’s NMX Digital Service Manager™ is a definitive video network management solution. NMX encompasses a powerful set of tools for monitoring and managing compressed digital video and audio services as well as the systems through which these services flow. As a result, operators can run their technical infrastructure in a way that parallels their business – as a series of revenue-generating services, rather than as a set of discrete hardware components.

The NMX Event Information Server (EIS) extension is designed to address CA challenges by managing all headend operations from a single point. The EIS is a mandatory component of a SimulCrypt solution – responsible for configuring multiple SimulCrypt synchronizer (SCS) modules with scrambling group information, as well as the ECM and EMM configurations that enable SimulCrypt scrambling.

The NMX Digital Program Insertion Server (DPI) addresses the need to centrally control and synchronize splice points. NMX DPI streamlines the headend operations related to digital splicing by enabling management from a single point, and can be used to configure multiple MPEG standard definition and high definition encoders with digital splicing information, including window avails and their corresponding metadata.

The StreamLiner Cluster WorkStation is an extension to Harmonic’s NMX Digital Service Manager for on-demand video delivery systems. StreamLiner Cluster Workstation presents a virtualized view of the video server clusters enabled by Harmonic's Armada® intelligent asset manager software. It enables various queries of content available in the cluster, or in any particular node with some additional specific criteria.
