Harmonic’s NMX DPI Server is a native extension to Harmonic’s NMX Digital Service Manager™ for digital splicing systems. It offers a powerful set of tools for the management of digital splicing settings, providing dynamic scheduling for ad insertion.

With the introduction of standards-based Digital Program Insertion (DPI) solutions, specifically the latest SCTE 104 standard, the need for centrally controlling and synchronizing DPI splice points has increased. Harmonic's NMX DPI Server offers such functionality, streamlining the headend operations related to digital splicing by enabling management from a single point.

The NMX DPI Server can also be used to configure multiple MPEG standard definition and high definition encoders with digital splicing information, including window avails and their corresponding meta-data.

Using the SCTE 104 protocol, the NMX DPI Server interacts with Harmonic’s award-winning DiviCom® SD and HD encoders.
