Market-Leading Technologies on USDA's RUS List of Accepted Materials for Broadband Service Deployment in Rural, Economically-Challenged Communities

Harmonic Inc. (NASDAQ: HLIT) today announced that its line of market-leading video encoding, stream processing, edgeQAM, video-on-demand and cable access solutions have been granted “RUS Acceptance” status from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Rural Utilities Service (RUS) agency for its Rural Development Telecommunications Program. Acceptance on the RUS list of materials allows rural communications companies to purchase Harmonic’s technologies with funds obtained through RUS grants or low-interest loans.
