Global OTT revenues will more than double between 2016 and 2022, driven by the success of subscription video-on-demand (SVOD), according to a new study from Digital TV Research. The study claims that online TV episode and movie rentals will grow from $37 billion in 2016 to $83 billion in 2022, with $9 billion added in 2017 alone.
