Patrick Harshman has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Harmonic since May 2006. As CEO Patrick has driven Harmonic’s strategic re-positioning as the worldwide leader in video delivery infrastructure, and overseen the rapid expansion of the company’s customer base, international presence, and video product portfolio. He joined Harmonic in 1994 and prior to being appointed CEO held several other executive management positions for the company. Patrick earned a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Florida.
Shahar Bar joined Harmonic in 1999 and was appointed Vice President of Corporate Development in June 2008. He is responsible for identifying, analyzing and pursuing new video markets and associated acquisition targets that complement and drive Harmonic’s worldwide growth. Shahar’s experience at Harmonic includes a variety of roles in engineering, marketing and management, including Director of Satellite and Broadcast markets and Director of On-Demand solutions. Prior to joining Harmonic, he held various positions at Rafael, a defense industry corporation, including Senior Project Manager and Engineering Manager. A Cum Laude graduate of the Technion, Israel’s Institute of Technology, Shahar holds a B.S. in Information Systems and an M.B.A.
Nimrod Ben-Natan joined Harmonic in 1997, was appointed Vice President of Product Marketing, Solutions and Strategy in 2007, and became Senior Vice President and General Manager, Cable Products in 2012. Nimrod initially joined Harmonic as a software engineer to design and develop its first-generation video transmission platform, and in 2000 transitioned to product marketing, solutions and strategy to develop the digital video cable segment. From 1993 to 1997, he was employed at Orckit Communications Ltd., a digital subscriber line developer. Previously, Nimrod worked on wireless communications systems while he was with the Israeli Defense Signal Corps. He holds a B.A. in Computer Science from Tel Aviv University.
Timothy Chu joined Harmonic in October 2013 as Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary and was appointed General Counsel and Senior Vice President, Human Resources, in January 2016. Prior to joining Harmonic, he served as General Counsel and Vice President, Administration at Phoenix Technologies Ltd. Tim was also Director of Corporate Legal Affairs and Assistant Secretary at Solectron Corporation. He began his legal career as an associate in the New York and Helsinki offices of White & Case LLP before Venture Law Group in Silicon Valley as a senior attorney. Tim earned his B.A. in Economics and Chinese Literature and Language from the University of Michigan and his J.D. from the University of Michigan.
Neven Haltmayer joined Harmonic in December of 2002 and was appointed Vice President of Research and Development in November 2005. Prior to this, Neven was Director of Engineering of Compression Systems and managed the development of Harmonic’s MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 encoder and Electra product lines. Prior to joining Harmonic, he held various key positions at Canal Plus Technologies, including Vice President of Engineering, and was responsible for system integration and development of STB middleware and interactive applications. Neven earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Zagreb, Croatia.
Sanjay Kalra joined Harmonic in 2016 as Vice President, Corporate Controller and Chief Accounting Officer and was named Chief Financial Officer in June 2017. Previously, he served as a Corporate Controller at TiVo, Inc., Vice President and Corporate Controller at Model N, Inc. and held various financial roles at Silicon Image after beginning his career in public accounting at Ernst & Young LLP. Sanjay holds a B. Com. in Commerce and Accounting from CCS University, India, is a Chartered Accountant from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Jeremy joined Harmonic in January 2015. He assists with key sales and technical development across the company, and helps identify and protect Harmonic’s visionary, industry-leading intellectual property. Jeremy came to Harmonic from Music Choice, the world’s first digital programming service and a longstanding Harmonic customer, where he was part of the original senior management team and served as the SVP of Technology. His experience also includes technology strategy consulting for Motorola’s media business and financial positions in the media industry, including CFO of Visible World (acquired by Comcast). Jeremy holds a B.S. in Economics and Decision Sciences from the Wharton School and an MBA from IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Tim Warren joined Harmonic in 2006 and was appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, Video Business, in January 2018, where he is responsible for leading the evolution of Harmonic’s video business. Previously, as CTO, Video Business, Tim led the development of Harmonic’s latest broadcast and OTT media processing solutions. Tim joined Harmonic through the acquisition of Entone Technologies, where he was the co-founder and CTO. Tim has served as the lead engineer on the world’s first commercial VOD deployment where he was responsible for the server design, deployment and operations. Tim holds a B.A. and M.A. in Mathematics and Computation from the University of Oxford.
