CableOS Ripple Node Installation

Course Description:

The Harmonic CableOS software-based Converged Cable Access Platform (CCAP) features a suite of products that work together to deliver data, video, and voice services over existing cable access network infrastructure. In this instructor-led course, students learn Harmonic’s CableOS distributed technology and recommended procedures to power, install, and replace Field Replaceable Units in Harmonic’s Ripple Node. Headend CableOS Core server operational procedures are discussed to manage the node that includes RF power/attenuation adjustments, and port segmentation through the node’s RF amplifier.

Course Objectives:

Upon completion of this training, students will be able to install a Pebble node, replace node components, and work with head-end personnel to verify optimum RF output/node operability.

Course Prerequisites:

A basic understanding of RF concepts, power loss, and measurement tools. Prior experience installing nodes is helpful but not required.
